Yes, everyone knows that Microsoft’s super successful Windows 7 doesn’t play well with ‘pads’. Well, the user interface isn’t meant for finger input in the first place, as well all know that it were supposed to be the real Vista back then. But Windows 7 is a great OS, and everyone wants it to work on their ‘pads’. The solution? To develop their own layer for the OS, like HP’s TouchSmart UI.
Now there’s rumour that Microsoft is working on their own touchscreen layer, which most probably would be based on Windows Media Center. Microsoft would probably not release another version of Windows, as they focus on optimizing the new OS for slates, and prepping its partners with information.
