India to get Nexus S in February

February, the season of love, has something to offer to the Android lovers in India.Samsung, according to reports is all set to launch the Android Gingerbread powered Google Nexus S aka Samsung GT-I9003 in India in early February.

However, there is a big let down for the SAMOLED fans as Nexus S will not come with the usual Super AMOLED display, instead it’ll be packed with a Super Clear LCD. Sad as it may sound, but this is what you’re going to get. It was expected earlier too considering Samsung is only launching Super AMOLED versions in US and UK, rest everywhere it is Super Clear LCD. I can’t make out why the rest of the world is being left out in terms of pure SAMOLED pleasure while US and UK enjoy the phone in its full glory. These partial tactics of the manufacturers are a real let down to enthusiasts based outside the mentioned two countries.

The phone is already listed on the Flipkart website. India has been catching up on global launches of products but in the smartphone sector, it still lags behind. India has a huge number of smartphone users and I guess the manufacturers should realize this as quickly as they can. This will not only help them earn good profits but also cater to the needs of enthusiasts and hence the money obtained by the companies can be put into R & D for better products in the future.
